Mix Polished Marble Brick Mosaic Tiles

At this size individual pieces stop being read separately. From more than a metre away the three colours combine optically into a single soft warm grey, in the way closely set coloured dots do, so the blend is perceived as a tone rather than as a pattern of distinct tiles. Move closer and it resolves back into its parts. That behaviour makes it useful where a surface needs to be interesting without becoming the feature of the room.

The small module also changes the arithmetic of the installation. Grout occupies a far greater share of the visible surface here than in any larger format, so the joint colour behaves as a fourth material in the blend: a pale grout keeps the sheet light and airy, a mid-grey lets the darker pieces take over, and the difference between the two is dramatic. Sample both before deciding.

The polish adds a fine, close-set sparkle rather than a broad reflection, since each small face returns light at its own angle. High joint density also gives the sheet real flexibility over curved forms. All three stones are calcitic, so acids etch them, and a reflective face shows that more plainly than any other finish.
