Shellstone Limestone - Rustic Green Brushed Marble Hexagon Mosaic Tile

At 23 mm a green hexagon is small enough to read as a point of colour rather than as a shape. Scattered through a cream field at intervals, those points do not form a pattern; they tint the whole surface. From standing height the sheet reads as warm cream with a faint botanical cast, and only close up do the individual green pieces separate out. Anyone who wants the green to be visible as green should be looking at a larger format, or at the bordered fan instead.

The colour is mineral in origin, present in the sediment before the stone was ever compacted, which is also why it moves between olive and something greyer from one delivery to the next. Order the whole quantity together.

Brushing holds both stones matte and gives them a fine tooth, and the many joints in a one-inch honeycomb add to that, so the sheet suits floors that get wet. Both are porous limestones: seal before grouting, then seal again afterwards.
